Kapok
Kapok is a fiber that appears very similar to cotton. The fibers are harvested from the seed of the kapok tree, which is a sustainable rainforest crop. It is soft, smooth, hygienic, non-toxic, hypoallergenic and environmentally friendly. It is breathable allowing air circulation. It can be reused for generations, without developing mold or decaying, and has the ability to shape to the body while rebounding instantly to its original fluffy shape. It even floats!
Both buckwheat and kapok are grown without herbicides and pesticides because these crops are naturally resistant to pest
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Give it good vacuum from time to time and maybe a little sun and air or a spin on the cool cycle in your dryer to freshen. Kapok is naturally water repellent and difficult to soak. We do not recommend machine washing your bed, but if necessary (like Princess or Felix peed on it), hand rinse or spray down bed with a hose and let air dry or machine dry on cool. Soap not recommended! You can spot clean fabric cover with soap if needed.
